Angela is a first-year graduate student at the University of Iowa’s Psychological and Brain Sciences doctoral program in Clinical Psychology. She graduated from UC San Diego (UCSD) in 2023 receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a specialization in neuroscience. During her time at UCSD, Angela worked as a research assistant under multiple lab experiences where she got to explore her interests in how different aspects of EEG/ERP-related oscillatory patterns related to clinical outcomes in different psychiatric populations. Angela’s current research interests in the MAYPL lab includes the use of EEG techniques and computational analyses in to better understand how perceptual processing difficulties and changes in neural oscillatory activity may contribute to cognitive and functional outcomes in individuals with serious mental illness. She enjoys listening to music, reading, digital coloring, and watching films.
